A Taste of Lapland

Join us on a relaxing 2½-hour evening trip through Sami culture, history and way of life on the Nordkyn Peninsula.

We first drive through the centre of Kjøllefjord, a traditional fishing village, before visiting the Sami camp Davvi Siida.

At Davvi Siida you meet the Utsi family in their traditional Sami dress, and are invited into their lavvu (Sami tent). Steaming broth is served by the log fire, and the joik (traditional Sami chanting) provides a magical setting for listening to the stories of the Sami and their way of life.

Afterwards we go outside to see the reindeer. The Utsis tell you about herding reindeer, and then you can try your hand at lasso throwing!
